This beautifully designed small urn-like vase boasts intricate graphical designs both at the macro and micro scales on this piece. On either side of this artifact, you can see two classical natural landscapes of the main island of Japan which incorporate large cherry blossom tree trunks supporting branches rich in flower blooms set on a rocky landscape. Sitting on a wooden base, this metallic and ceramic piece also has a removable top revealing a bold blue glaze on the inside lined with gold trim.

This piece was passed down to the current owner by his late grandmother. She acquired this piece when visiting her husband when he was deployed in Okinawa, Japan in the 1950s.
