<text>This small vase is a copy of an actual artifact recovered from archaeological digs around the ruins of the ancient city of Corinth in Greece. The original vase was estimated to have been created around 550 B.C. Depictions of ungulates representative of African Antelope grazing can be found on either side of the arm of the vase. Opposite of the vase arm side, a long-necked bird, representative of a goose or swan, appears to be cleaning its feathers. Filling in the empty spaces between these animals are tree and leaf litter that has fallen on the ground. Additionally, the top and bottom of the vase are finished off with some graphical design looping around the circumference of the pottery piece. Warm colors ranging from tan, oranges, maroons, and browns cover this piece and truly bring this biological imagery to life.</text>
